Staying
clean and hygienic is important for everyone, but using the right soap
is just as important to keeping skin fresh and clear. Most people buy
the name brand soap from the general store, but organic skin soap is better
for a person’s skin and budget.
There are thousands of different types of organic soaps.
Organic soaps are made out of natural materials and ingredients like
green tea, cardamom, verbena, gingergrass, rose geranium, oatmeal,
lemon, rosemary, and all sorts of herbs and spices. Organic soaps only
use natural materials and never have harsh chemicals. Organic soaps are
also better for all types of skin because the body recognizes natural
materials and doesn’t react violently like it would to chemicals.
Two soaps that I really like but are very different are
Kahlua coffee soap and black pine soap. Both are available from
PurpleSoap.com at affordable prices. PurpleSoap.com has other types of
organic soaps that have quite the variety of scents and benefits for
many different types of skin.
Kahlua coffee soap is made with saponified olive oil, palm
oil, coconut oil, ground coffee, and Kahlua. Kahlua itself is a liqueur
naturally made from coffee, sugar, corn syrup, and vanilla beans. It’s a
coarser soap that helps remove dirt and grime and is still soft enough
on hands, body, and face. Without the harsh chemicals, a person doesn’t
have to worry about ill side affects and it’s good to use on sensitive
skin. The coffee aroma definitely helps wake me up like a regular cup of
joe would. Using this soap in the shower in the mornings may replace
the need for that morning coffee (or not). This soap is easy to afford
and lasts longer than regular soap because of its organic materials. It
doesn’t degrade as fast because there are no harsh decomposing
chemicals.
I’ll talk more about black pine soap in my next post, and cover why it is such a great therapeutic skin soap.
